LOKI
This stick is aimed squarely at the ultimate show off. The ball carrier unafraid of putting into practise explosive directional changes and mystifying 3D movements. The LOKI ( ‘trickster’ ) is a wand of a stick; ideal for the extrovert that thinks nothing of throwing a 40m reverse overhead with ease. in terms of bow dimensions the bend runs to 220mm with bow height-angle at 24.35mm ; using a surface concavity of only 0.175mm. This concavity ends 245 mm along the face of the stick.
Constructed of 24K spread tow carbon fabric integrated with fibreglass, aramid and nano-resins it delivers sublime touch and feel without degrading power.
Unlike mainstream 3K and 4K carbon fibre sticks, which use narrower, more tightly woven tows that can create heavier resin loading and less uniform energy return, our 18K and 24K spread‑tow carbon lay‑ups maximize surface area while minimising voids in the laminate. The broader, flatter fibres distribute impact forces more evenly across the shaft, improving torsional stability, reducing micro‑cracking under repeated stress, and delivering a cleaner, more instantaneous energy release through the ball. This architecture also allows higher strength‑to‑weight ratios, so players experience exceptional stiffness and responsiveness without excess mass, translating into faster swing speeds, sharper ball control, and a stick profile that stays true deep into its lifecycle. In durability testing, higher‑K spread‑tow fabrics have shown greater resistance to delamination and fibre fracture under cyclic loading than conventional 3K/4K weaves, extending usable performance life (Stanley Sports, 2024).
The LOKI incorporates our proven evidence-based structural design elements including the original OCTA handle. This is sleeved in both a ridged EVA cover and a PU grip for vibration dampening , superior ball control and improved fatigue reduction across tournament play. It has the staples of friction face, kevlar reinforced backhand and the ZORBA heavy octagonal end cap.
From a biomechanical standpoint, the octagonal shape facilitates natural wrist stacking, particularly in neutral and semi-pronated positions. This alignment minimizes ulnar deviation and mitigates the risk of repetitive strain injuries such as tendinopathy or joint irritation (van Tulder et al., 2000). The flat facets of the octagon act as tactile reference points, allowing athletes to intuitively calibrate grip pressure and rotational torque — a feature especially beneficial during high-velocity drag flicks and reverse stick maneuvers. Read more
It makes use of our Proximity Percussion Groove (PPG) and I-beam platforms on the reverse of the stick to reduce torque and optimise straight line power.
Our LOKI geometry stack—slight face nano-concavity of 0.175mm (~250 mm), forward-bent “bashō” toe, and octagonal handle—creates complementary mechanical advantages that improve energy absorption, ball seating, directional guidance, and wrist indexing. Together, they elevate soft-hand receives, slide passing, aerial overheads, advanced 3D “above-ground” carrying, and reverse overhead aerials through better stick–ball interface physics and human biomechanics.
The bashō nano inverted toe assist standing backhand hitting and the nano concavity face aids soft receives on both sides of the body and a boost to elevated efforts for carryin, passing & shooting.
