The Kilpi is a composite product ie carbon, fibreglass and resin. It is not indestructible and will provide excellent protection in normal training and play. Hard ball and stick impacts may peel and alter the surface of this composition. However, if you are hit with an enormous amount of force they may crack. With any form of protective wear fractured compositions should be replaced.
